Exit Paula

drawing it

I’ve tried a long time to define what was this force behind pushing me out of any possible destroying pessimism. Yes, simple, very simple, it is my best quality, my worst default. La gniaque, the basic essential sensation to go further.

It’s this blue spot within the shadow, coming from unraveling the situation, how complex it might be, and focus on this synthesis. Because it s good to take all parameters independently, it’s even better to understand it and make a whole picture out of it, or simply to ignore it, still aware of its existence. I believe this drawing says it all. Well I might be affected even more by the syndrome stated in Roland Barthes essays… the punctum remotum.

And no, it does not mean to appear as esoteric as it could be perceived, It is one of the only aspect where I can describe myself as materialistic. Ok, the second aspect: ), I have to acknowledge I am attracted to what is beautiful. it s simple, not explaining it, it might get complicated. BBV rules

And more surprises will be coming around the corner, because I just like the basic philosophy of the “Read more” of any posts.

Ce moment,
Tu le saisis,
Tu le prends,
Tu le perds,
Tu l’inverses,
Tu le complètes.
À ton idée,
À ta joie,
Dans ton sens.
Et tu écris,
À n’en plus finir,
Des phrases,
Sans queue,
Sans tête
Et sinon, Et sinon,
Et si oui

First stop to a library, infusing colours around, very basic

Then, Have to pay one to Google, using the enveloppe as the core writing surface, very environmental, thanks.

And some views on some engineering sketch I drew quickly, couldn't refrain about the referencing arrows, I must have an engineering side in me... :) well the optic lense is not framing that good tho'

Finally, Have a look around, peaceful is fueling me up

Auto-Entrepreneur

location location location to information information information

Update 6th of June 2011, picked up over the net: interesting review of a situation from journalists themselves, in french, and surely in english somewhere given it is cross-referencing some channels overseas: http://www.rue89.com/presse-sans-presses/2011/06/05/sur-internet-la-notion-darticle-journalistique-a-t-elle-encore-un-sen

Back to the right beginning of this post:

English

I am coming back to this subject, which applies to modern journalism, marketing, Project management and so on. I am a philosopher, and I love to get things done. During my time in an american-like education, I still put the A+ on Introduction-Development-Conclusion rather than the B+ way we are seeing around on Facts-Facts-Facts. simply because any strings should aim further.

So first to frame my train of thoughts, I would picture information flow as a torrent

Now, Current flow of information/communication/news headlines is that I picture them as the dam, ok a pretty opened one, straight before or after the torrent focusing more towards the buzz rather than building a constructive view of the situation. Thanks to the feeds and google reader, pick and choose policy. At least knowing the title springing up. They know well the stuff they are writing I do believe, so it would be what I would expect.

¿ So, where should journalism position themselves?

Here a distinction has to be made between actual facts, current affairs, or if I may allow : second zone affairs where perspectives of the one is giving more sense to the whole content. Ok, cannot find the name in English, I am speaking of “faits divers” and getting drowned here in pretty bad translation from my mind dictionary.

Now I believe journalism is at a critical point, and they ve been perhaps heading too much into it. These “Faits divers” are not news, they are just piece of information and they should stay this way.
After, yes, in our fast and furious world, and we witnessed that during earlier this year and all these revolutions down North Africa, and the middle east, the Faits divers takes  can give roots to a global change.

Still, my point there, is that perhaps in fear of missing one information, we are informing on everything and being drowned in this torrent.

My view on Journalism is about the responsibility coming with it. It is this point where rivers are meeting the sea, making the balance between all factual facts happening before, which can be roots causes, and what information are getting out useful at the end.

Reason why I ask a blank front page, just one day, to state their focus again on the useful essence of journalism. http://stotb.blogspot.com/2011/05/front-page.html

Perhaps more a short term, long term view on journalism. Especially critical nowadays, given books have now left a huge hole in our way to build up a constructive understanding of what ‘s going around. And here I am taking for example the two third of any magazines here dedicated to the right extremism and Marine le Pen, about DSK obviously, and about the arab revolution, because there was a good aspect still. Do we still speak about climate change, or either Haiti? For journalism who has a huge impact on both sides, the supply and the demand of information, I found it quite critical.

CCL: So yes, the challenge of the traditional press would be there for me. And no I never have work in journalism and so on, Like many organization, I do believe the point of sales is giving the whole spirit and culture of what’s done before. So reason why I am stating that.

PS1: I cannot lie to myself. The most important parameter supporting and driving many endeavors is money, and in many cases, it is the main flow supporting any endeavours in our world. I am not coming back on that. http://stotb.blogspot.com/2011/04/economics-as-applied-thermodynamics.html Here, I am focusing on the underlying most important critical parameter to all endeavours, parameter which is information and I would take newspaper as an example.

And well, just got to my mind, the G8 is gathering in France, we are speaking about the riots it includes, but what about the topic. Gosh newspaper.... http://www.g20-g8.com/g8-g20/g20/francais/pour-la-presse/communiques-de-presse/ouverture-de-la-conference-sur-le-renforcement-de.1213.html

CCL: So yes, the challenge of the traditional press would be there for me. And no I never have work in journalism and so on, Like many organization, I do believe the point of sales is giving the whole spirit and culture of what’s done before. So reason why I am stating that.

Update 27/05/2011

While i do understand not so long ago disinformation was very harmful, I do feel journalism have balanced to the other extreme, looking to release too much information, unsettling our references at every moment of the decade, of the year, of the month, of the day, of the hour, of the minute, of the second.

I do understand as well I am making a generality here. I do believe Marianne and Rue89 are acting closed to good and near the surface but still I am pretty angry to most of what I can read and see. Yes I want to be informed, so yes I am looking at it, but I am pissed off. So yes I am allowing myself a generality, like they do.

I believe I was up much more with French journalism when it relied to context, development, conclusion rather than the anglo-saxon ones relying on facts, facts, facts, where they even made rumors lie into facts… and where we are all aiming to

What I am interested in journalism is their power to take a fact, and here not a rumor, put it in context, not bragging about every twitter like facts that leads ourselves to be more disinformed than informed.

Respect the timeline, please. You have a respected position in our society to INFORM people.

You are not to do the job any advertisers putting up their lying campaign (Last one I've seen was the ad about the bank CIC, stating they don't have shareholders, well their financial statements state different and I do believe Credit Agricole is not a shareholder just for fun.)

And more, there are others journals dealing with such segments, why do you look at these segments? to see copies? that is a poor view on the short term which gonna harm the long term viability of your business, especially at a critical time where everything is online, I do expect more from print copies

Latest examples:

The crash of the AF447 and the pilot not being in the cockpit, and here it goes, mounting headlines on headlines,

DSK and his new expensive house, his ADN and so on, these are facts that are not very useful, lost in a series of rumors that does prove to give any more clues. I have to come back on one earlier comments there, I am more commenting on the justice and its environment rather than the fact itself and its fair use for various communities to defend their fight. Everything has to come in time, not in a bowling mix.

So, following the amount of nonsense and disbelief put in their columns, I will read again a traditionnal newspaper once one has decided to publish a blank front page, given they 'd rather focus on buzz, rather than information.

Meanwhile, I 'd rather pick up information from sources I can secure valuable even if it can be less. less is sometimes giving a better picture, more sense. Meanwhile, I spoke too much.
