Along the road last Thursday, I did hit the radio and pulse “news” button straight into the brain of mine. One of the news appeared dramatic, I first though this “poor” guy passed away, while he just retired. Well, this info was an happy relief from the common scramble eggs, politics over here, are cooking for us.
Well, my mind was pretty empty at the time my brain got shattered by the news. In a short loop, it reminded me of the first book I’ve read in English, in 2002. The book was called “the second coming of Steve Jobs” and I am sure you can recap from what you hear around what this book is about.
He might have been one of the latest leader being a true dreamer of our rational system. At least, given how much we are speaking about it, it looks like it, like he was one, of a scarce ressource, thinking different. Looking to fit aesthetics with ethics with profits. Yes, the very same guy who went on with Mr. Lasseter to start up a Pixar company as we know now, I believe it started in 1995, nice year, around the same year, Jeff Bezos started Amazon, Windows kept feet in the mud with windows 95, yes cannot stop but recap on this old joke at the time: Tchernobyl 85, Windows 95. Ah times, where IT were only a brink of what we know now, glad I’ve witnessed all these developments since nearly the beginning.
I don’t idealize people, fortunately, I do recognize achievements, and the human nature making us doing what we believe in. The best compliment I give, I love to be given, is “I do believe in you”, because it is fuelling my dreaming activities, which I do need in order to give my best. And this story, on a morning hitting the road, made me reflect in what I would entitle, as a modern western: The best, the worst, and the unthinkable
Standing even further in facts and acts, are we losing our power to dream?
yes just one symptom: are we happy? well, we ve got to do things for a reason, just that makes me, yes this overthinking guy I am, say: simply is the new happy, noticeable how the world became complex, out of our hands.

Short review: When first greek philosopher started their trip, writings, discussion started to enter the field of dream and thoughts, picturing images, the one I very like at a time where we celebrate Web Salsa, title, sauces, dances to all steps we can hear around, the one I do appreciate even more now the myth of the cavern. Cannot think of a better time than now to figure out this metaphor.
So came speech, oral tradition, and Gutenberg, and certainly some others before him, and books, and I do feel here our power to dreams are wearing more and more of these stigmatism as centuries passed by, especially last and current one.
Yes, I am not looking to do plagiarism on a song I do enjoy from Dire Straits “The telegraph road”, just the words crossing the air between my two ears:
then came the radio, then the TV, then the computer, then new information sources, a lot of sources. How can we still be irrational now? In the sense that we can stand decisions that might not appear rational first. For me, Steve Jobs was the pretty face of IT, starting the now common statement “Smart is the new sexy”

Indeed, with all information coming hitting our daily brains, with its huge amount of very sad news, I am not here to forget about it, but hey we have to free ourselves in order to think different.
Perhaps too much information are now heading to our brain, a small box that can easily overflow. Weel, no, we all did educate ourselves, our filters and our balance of acceptance, with more and more facts we have to be aware of. The distinction is hard, and philosophy is becoming an even more valuable tool. Standing away and thinking again. It is up to everyone to figure it out, and oddly enough, witnessing our times, I do appreciate what I see, away from destructive skepticism.

History is a useful melting pot to this thinking, don’t get me wrong. Still as I was carrying out my 18 y.o. exam here, we have to distinguish between two: history as a common knowledge (Histoire connaissance) and history as a reality . The latter one gathering most of the day to day events and twist of the day. Ok, might be going to far, I do believe it is giving a useful prospective. Of course, we cannot only consider what will common. I am powered up by dreams, and oddly enough, I haven’t dreamed since I was very young, and this distinction is pretty useful. Kind of making you realize the artificial components of our daily landscape. yep It does not matter that much to me that the CAC went down again today, it is not economy, it is only one tiny part of what we see in economy, and the dependence we are tying our lives to. Why? http://www.scoop.it/t/contemporary-fiction/p/347705684/nyse-new-york-stock-exchange
I will finish this post on a music, as music is a very valuable tool for inspiration and a power for dreams, ok for me
